AK5100 Tumuhud Nunuk Ragang Dogo 2

Dec 27, 2010 The journey continues, 8.30am Tuan Ahmad Manshor came to picked us for breakfast at Kak Nong Restaurant (nearby Tenom Restaurant). A heavy breakfast with Meehoon Sup Tenom and grand curry puffs, I was sad as my son didn’t take pictures I wanted.

Served best curry-puff in town, Jalan Sembulan, Kota Kinabalu

We then moved to Polopin Market and Pasar Besar Kota Kinabalu. Such a view at the market with Rolex I-Pod being sold a cheap price (a Rolex of RM1.5 K is sold at RM500 and I-Pod at RM500, well you should know the reason for the price)

Pasar Ikan Masin, near Polopin Market, Kota Kinabalu

Lombok Rawit at RM26/Kilo .. gilo ko

We moved to Pasar Segama area for some sight seeing and window shopping and walking stroll around the area. Rest time. About noon Tuan Nik Mat called and asked me to join him to Putrajaya but told him that I am ‘tumuhuding’ sumandak … ppeerrggh!.

The 2nd appointment was with our travel-agent in Jesselton. What was supposed to be a 2 pm schedule was one hour later due to miscommunication. And so we started our next drive at 300pm. The first place of visit is Bangunan Tun Mustapha also known as Yayasan Sabah (a must for any traveler to Jesselton). A tall unique building can be said as the proud foundation for Sabahan and just across the road is another great building … I forgot the name but it is a grand building, something to be proud of for Sabahan besides Dewan Bahasa Pustaka, Kota Kinabalu.

With our travel-agent at UMS Jetty
The travel-agent was ver nice indeed offering us another place called University Malaysia Sabah (UMS) where we went to Bio-Marine jetty and not forgetting the UMS mosque.

One Borneo

One Borneo (said to be the biggest shopping store in South-East Asia) was next and to Kadazan-Dusun Culture Association (KDCA), Jalan Damai for a village-cultural tour. Here placed the Sabah ethnic houses, very educating place for those who loved homes and architecture.

Masjid Terapong, Kota Kinabalu

Stopped at Masjid Terapong, Kota Kinabalu and to Pantai Tanjung Aru before maghrib to see the sunset scenary. Had dinner of chicken wings and chicken butts plus ‘jagong’, peeergh westernized meal for dinner.

WIth our travel-agent .. rase chang orrk !

Then came the horrid moment for me, the travel-agent mentioned Pasar Malam Kampong Air for another visit. Heaven for the mothers and women, nightmare for fathers. I even had to picked Laila Restaurant, Jalan Kampong Air for my waiting spot, and don’t ask me what’s going , the picture shows.

Chieftan Model ~ Tracing the roots

But I spotted kayu Balukuk of Dermatuan heritage this is for men. About 900pm, we were sent back to the nest as we need a good night rest before leaving for the ‘pawned land’ or AK6096, the new episode. We thanked the travel-agent for the kindness and generosity before saying goodbye. And again my photographer spoiled the trip as he’s busy with his own dream and worst the broadband stinked. Can you imagined hours spent for AK5100 2 from 830am-900pm and yet had to buy supper at 1000pm. That's life ...
